Generally I would start off with some simple maths problems to help me understand my student's problems on the subject and from there, after understanding what he finds most difficult, I would give him more examples of mathematical question about that subject. However, obviously, depending on its age I would take different approaches. For example, if they are around their teenage years I would take a more direct and harsh approach by giving them lots of question every lesson. However, if they are younger, I would take a simpler and more exiting approach, for example, I would make them play fun maths games or I would show them the amazing side of mathematics and maybe some history behind it since the most beautiful part of maths is how humanity got there to begin with. In conclusion, I'm not a harsh tutor also because I like to take things slowly, however, if in need, I can be slightly severe.
