I have over a years experience tutoring both small groups and individual sessions. Lessons can be conducted online or in home (extra cost), dependent on location and time.
I have a love for education, currently studying Psychology at university, which I hope to pass onto other students.
Sessions will be fun and engaging, whilst very personalised to each individual. Any ideas for resources and questions from students are highly encouraged!
We can cover areas of weakness in your chosen subject, through exploration of the topic, using visualisations, comparisons and exam questions. Exam techniques will also be covered, to ensure students feel confident in how to best approach the exam.
Whether it is a certain thing you struggle with or the subject as a whole, it does not matter. I am here to help you feel more confident in your abilities. I believe that if you feel confident in yourself, everything else will fall into place.
Learning is always most effective when students are engaged and enjoying what they are doing. This is why I constantly ask for feedback on how pupils find sessions and how I could make it better for them.
In previous tutor positions I have held, students have shown an interest in dominoes. I then created many different sets of dominoes related to SPAG, using these to teach the students their definitions.
If a student gives me feedback, I will take this on board and think about how I can improve. Previous pupils have praised me for making sessions fun and interesting.
