I am happy to adapt my lessons to the needs of the particular student. We can have an introductory conversation where I can understand the areas in which the student would like to receive extra support and I can tailor my classes to suit those needs. Depending on need, we can work together on the core skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. We can also focus by topic and hone in on vocabulary which is most useful for certain themes. Every learner is different and I can carefully assess each student’s goals to design lessons that are engaging, relevant, and goal-oriented.

If the student is near to exams, we can go through past papers together and I can explain in depth any areas of difficulty. I know many top tips for success in receiving the highest grades and how to impress examiners and show off your skills and knowledge. I have lots of experience supporting GCSE level students to improve their marks. I will create a supportive atmosphere and I am very patient. I strongly believe that the only way to improve at Modern Languages is by practicing and by making mistakes - there is no silly question! Thanks to my own experiences living in France and in Spain during my degree, I understand more than anyone that learning and utilising languages can be very challenging but it is also very much worth it once you can reap the benefits. I will celebrate small achievements and provide constructive feedback that motivates students to keep improving.
