English Literature Lessons:
I can help you prepare for exams and write academic essays. My method is to teach in a methodical but interactive way which equips you to achieve high grades whilst also develop your own imagination and independent thought. We will consider all aspects of a literary work including: language choice, themes, voice, place, style, genre and historical context. We will learn exciting ways to analyse literature using extracts and secondary sources. We will also practise writing paragraphs and essays on works of literature, focussing on grammar, punctuation and analytical terminology in an academic style. My students always comment that they leave our lessons feeling inspired and eager to read more. Grow in confidence and deepen your love of literature!
My approach to teaching is to make it fun and rewarding. I always tailor my lessons to the interests and learning goals of each student in order for them to get the best out of their lessons.
