I prefer interactive learning, conversationally. I like to talk to students before teaching to work out what their goals are, any areas in which they might be particularly struggling, and find out their learning style: what works best for them, and how they like to learn. I have previous teaching and tutoring experience from ages 13-22, having been able to assist with lessons while I was in sixth form. This teaching would involve assisting the teacher with grammatical points and vocabulary, as well as helping kids prepare for their speaking exams; listening to their presentations, and asking questions so as to develop an exam ready conversation. Through this, I was then able to assist their grammar, and any points in particular they struggled with, such as areas of vocabulary or pronunciation. Furthermore, I have helped non-Spanish friends of mine who I have met living abroad develop their Spanish skills, both on an informal and formal basis - conversationally (in bars, restaurants etc) and grammatically. Finally, I also have experience of teaching Spanish to English, with people on my team when I worked in Madrid wishing to learn English. Having taught both ways, I have been able to expand my own knowledge of the language, and develop different teaching styles that work for different people. I look forward to working with you! Que tenga buen día :)
