Eve Connolly

I am currently finishing up a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing & Literature at Atlantic Technological University. This three-year course has taken place entirely online, so I have developed a clear understanding of online learning, including the use of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Powerpoint and Google docs. I also have an appreciation for the need for a balance between offline task work and online engagement and teamwork as essential components of successful online learning.
I have skills in video editing and in creating informative presentations that have allowed me to excel in my course and remain consistently at the top of my class. As part of this course, I have had to develop and deliver a writing workshop to children between the ages of seven and ten. So, not only do I have experience teaching online, but I found the children really responded to the audio and visual tools I created.
I have worked as an actor for over six years, recently working in Hungary, Slovakia, Bosnia, and Switzerland, so I am very comfortable working with individuals from different countries, for whom English is not their first language. My years working in customer service also helped me to develop the communication skills and the patience that is required in interpersonal engagement.
My unique work experience has allowed me to develop an extensive set of skills that I believe make me the perfect fit for the role of an online tutor of English as a foreign language. I would work with the student to develop a programme that works for them.
