I believe that math should be an engaging puzzle, not a stressful chore. My lessons are fully interactive, online, and tailored entirely to each student’s unique learning speed. We use an online digital whiteboard where I draw out math problems using bright visuals, shapes, and real-world scenarios—like using pizza slices to understand fractions or tracking pocket money to master decimals. Every session is a conversation, not a lecture; I encourage students to talk through their thinking out loud so we can catch mistakes early and turn them into great learning moments.
For students in Grades 1–7, my primary focus is building a rock-solid mathematical foundation. We cover everything from basic arithmetic and word problems to introductory geometry and pre-algebra. A typical session is split into three parts:
1. The Warm-Up: A fun, low-pressure review of the previous lesson to build instant confidence.
2. The Core Concept: Breaking down the day's new topic into simple, step-by-step visual rules.
3. The Victory Lap: Solving a few guided practice problems together to ensure they have completely mastered the concept before we finish.
If your child already has a specific school textbook, workbook, or weekly homework guide they need to follow, I am more than happy to use it! We can base our lessons entirely around their school material to ensure they are 100% prepared for their upcoming classroom quizzes and exams.
My Experience & Approach
As a 4th-year Engineering student, I work with advanced numbers every day, but my foundation started exactly where your child is now. I graduated Elementary School in the Top 10 and maintained High Honors through both Junior and Senior High School. Over the years, I have mentored and tutored younger peers and family members, helping them overcome math anxiety. I bring immense patience, constant encouragement, and proven study strategies to every single class. My ultimate goal is to make math clear, approachable, and fun so your child builds the confidence they need to truly excel!
