My lessons are calm, friendly and built around what each learner wants to achieve. I mainly work with beginners, older learners, returning users and anyone who feels unsure, nervous or left behind by technology. At the start of a lesson, we have a relaxed chat about what you already know, what feels confusing and what you would like to feel more confident doing. From there, we go step by step at your pace.

The lessons are practical rather than overly technical. I can help with everyday computer skills such as using Windows, email, the internet, files and folders, documents, online forms, printing, video calls, passwords, online safety and general computer confidence. I can also support learners with setting up a new computer, choosing the right device, learning workplace basics or becoming more comfortable with specific apps, websites or online services.

My teaching style is patient, clear and supportive. I do not rush, use unnecessary jargon or assume that you already know what everything means. I explain things in plain English and use simple, everyday comparisons to make computers feel less intimidating. I also encourage learners to practise during the lesson, so they are not just watching someone else do it, but building confidence themselves.

I have a background in IT and Interactive Media, along with over a decade of experience supporting people in a person-centred way, including people with additional support needs. My aim is to make technology feel useful, understandable and much less stressful, while helping each learner leave with skills they can use in real life.
