I have lots of experience of working with children, many of which have special educational needs and require more attention or an adapted teaching approach. Therefore I like to provide a personalised experience that will get the most out of each student and closely suit their learning style. I will aim to assess what each student needs and their current ability and then provide appropriate techniques they can use to make more complex maths questions easier to solve. I believe that practice is key to learning and so I will provide questions to work through either during or outside of sessions which we can then go through and understand any mistakes made and how we can improve. I aim to push my students whilst keeping it fun and engaging and without being too demanding. I am happy to set a target to work towards with the student across the sessions as being aligned on what we want to achieve breeds more success, whether that is acquiring a certain grade in an exam or to catch up in specific units. Lots of my experience of working with young people comes through holiday clubs which means I always strive to create an enjoyable experience. During these week long events there is moments for teaching and I am very effective at maximising what children can learn in short periods of time. I hope to provide a service that is great value for money and will level up your maths ability whilst being fun and engaging.
