My lessons are friendly, structured and fully tailored to each student’s level, goals and preferred way of learning. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths, areas for improvement and personal objectives, then plan lessons around clear and achievable outcomes. This ensures that every session has a clear purpose and that students can recognise the progress they are making over time.
Lessons usually combine conversation practice, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, listening and writing. For school students, I can also focus on exam technique, past-paper questions, speaking assessments and the specific requirements of GCSE or A-level courses. I can help students consolidate what they have learned at school, address gaps in their knowledge and build confidence in areas they find more difficult. For adult learners, lessons can be centred around everyday conversation, travel, work, professional communication or general confidence and fluency.
I use a variety of activities, including discussions, role-play, targeted exercises, quizzes, authentic texts, listening tasks and practical examples. I encourage students to speak as much as possible and provide clear, supportive feedback so that mistakes become a useful part of the learning process rather than something to fear. Where appropriate, I can also provide short exercises or resources for students to complete independently between lessons.
I am a languages graduate from the London School of Economics and speak English, French and Spanish to a native level. I also have several years of experience working with international children and teenagers at Stafford House. This experience helped me develop a patient, adaptable and encouraging teaching style, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with learners from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Lessons are available online and in person in London. Each session is designed to be engaging, practical and focused on steady, measurable progress, while also creating a relaxed environment in which students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.
