My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s interests and level. I create custom teaching materials so that learning feels relevant and engaging, whether your goal is exam preparation, conversational fluency, or exploring Chinese for personal enrichment.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (specialising in Chinese-language news) and a Master’s degree in Culture and Society at LSE, I bring both professional language proficiency and a strong foundation in the humanities. This allows me to teach Chinese not only as a language, but also as a way to understand ideas, history, and culture.

I often use real-life examples, news stories, and cultural references to show how the language is used in context, making lessons practical, insightful, and connected to the wider world. Learning Chinese with me is not just about grammar and vocabulary — it is about experiencing the beauty of the language and the culture embedded within it.
