After the initial meeting I will organise a plan to match the academic aim of the student with the curriculums. Each lessons will be planned with the students learning style in mind with activities to challenge them and guide them through tasks. The general plan the lesson will include a topic for the session and learning objective that align with the steps to create the bigger picture for the lesson. After the lesson we will have a time to review in which the student can share any concern they may still and feedback to improve the quality of their learning for the next session.
Depending on the stage of learning there may be exam board set topics (11+ and GCSEs) or curriculum based topics (Primary and Lower Secondary). These will be analysed by myself and given to the student and their parent in a clear manner to demonstrate the content that we have covered and to what extent the content was understood. This method will make it easier for the parents to follow their child learning and students to refer to for revision.
I have tutored in two different centres one of which is Explore Learning and the other being a local centre during my times at these centres I have taught maths, english, and 11+ to children between the ages of 4-16. All of which had different educational needs. Academically I am a biomedical since student in my 3rd year working at a 2:1 and have achieved A in A-level biology, B in A-level maths, 7 and 8 in biology and maths at GCSE respectively.
