I teach based on the student’s method of learning. I find that it is easier for them to grasp certain concepts through a a method which they are accustomed to. I also use flash cards, quizlets and other modes of learning. I even have them watch movies because they’re fun, educative and entertaining and very easy for them to grasp ( this pertains to learning non-english languages and english speaking plays/theatre).
I listen to the needs of the students and aim to meet them halfway. I don’t like to do majority of the teaching because they become too reliant on me so I encourage them to do research, reading and further studies so they can learn and understand on their own an incorporating independent learning.
I like to read as well and listen to music so i try to encourage students to incorporate studies into their everyday activities so it becomes a habit they cultivate and helps them remember and practice their learning.
