My Biology lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I start by identifying strengths and gaps in understanding, then teach topics step by step using clear explanations, diagrams, and worked examples. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of guided practice, discussion, and exam-style questions to build confidence and understanding. I focus on both content and exam technique, helping students not only memorise facts but also understand the underlying concepts and how to apply them in different contexts.
I have strong subject knowledge, having achieved A* at A-level and grade 9 at GCSE, and I am currently studying Medicine at UCL, which has deepened my understanding of biological systems and practical applications. I am patient, organised, and approachable, and I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning speeds and abilities. Regular feedback, recap questions, and clear goals ensure steady progress, while creating a calm and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I also emphasise consistency and effective study habits. At the end of each lesson, I summarise key points and provide targeted practice or revision tasks to reinforce learning between sessions. I regularly revisit previously covered topics to strengthen long-term retention and ensure students feel confident applying their knowledge independently. My experience as a recent student means I understand current exam specifications, common mistakes, and effective revision strategies, which I actively share. My goal is not only to improve grades but to foster curiosity, confidence, and a positive mindset towards learning Biology.
