All age groups are welcome, from the exam orientated, to general interest. I can tailor your studies to your own requirements. We can follow a specific exam board syllabus, or just cover topics that you feel need strengthening. I am a patient and understanding tutor, and I try to create a stress free environment in which to learn. The primary aim is to ensure the student gains a real understanding of the subject, which may mean breaking topics down to the basics and rebuilding from there. I am a firm believer that everybody can do maths, given the correct support, and that with encouragement, confidence and resilience will grow.

For school age pupils, we follow the Year appropriate curriculum with weekly worksheets. If we are studying towards an exam, we cover
all required topics with extensive worksheets, together with consistent past paper practise for the exam board in question.
I aim at increasing depth of knowledge, which includes teaching proofs and origins of everyday formula that the students take for granted.
I also teach multiple problem solving methods that can be used across all maths topics, and share exam strategies and 'tricks' that will give you a robust set of tools to take into the exam with you.

I teach both online via Zoom, and face to face in my local area of Sheffield.
