Erin Maria Bonet-Clarke

I am a recent Psychology graduate from the University of Leeds with experience supporting young people through tutoring, childcare and mentoring. Alongside my studies, I volunteered as a Spanish tutor for secondary school students, providing one-to-one support and adapting my teaching approach to suit different learning styles and levels of confidence. I have also gained valuable experience through childcare roles, helping children with learning activities, routines and personal development.

My studies have given me a strong understanding of child development, language and literacy development, neurodiversity, wellbeing and learning processes. In addition, my dissertation focused on ADHD and student wellbeing, belonging and educational experiences, giving me further insight into the challenges some students face in education.

My teaching style is patient, supportive and highly personalised. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their strengths, goals and areas where they may need additional support. Lessons are adapted to suit individual needs and may include study skills, organisation strategies, revision techniques, confidence-building activities and subject-specific support where appropriate.

I aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. For students with ADHD or other neurodiverse needs, I can incorporate practical strategies to improve focus, organisation, motivation and academic confidence.

My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to build their confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning. I am passionate about helping young people reach their potential and develop skills that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.
