Hi, thanks for reading my profile. I am French and Scottish and have been based in Glasgow for over 6 years. I grew up in France until I was 18 years old, leaving after completing my high school exams to pursue an undergraduate degree in the UK. I have now recently graduated from a Masters at the University of Glasgow, and work as a receptionist and play in bands.
I enjoy teaching, understanding a student's difficulties and breaking them down in a new, more understandable way. I have experience being a private French tutor, but also a private guitar tutor, as I have played for many years. I enjoy planning a lesson and setting exercises on which to work on. I think for a lot of people it comes down to practicing more and committing to learning every day!
For more beginner and middle-school students, I will refer to the curriculum and spend more time on each section that is needing improving. I'll be happy to explain grammar rules, verbs, pronunciation, and encourage students to lead with what they need too.
For A-Level and university level students, I can help with essay writing and more advanced literature studies, as it was my major in high school and I graduated with honours. We can dig deep into textual analysis for literature and poetry, as well as in depth oral expression.
For companies, I would be focusing on business-focused vocabulary and setting up workshops tailored to your needs, for example acting out dialogues with clients or helping understand relevant legislation.
