Hi! I'm a graduate student of Social Anthropology and Human Rights. I am from Perú and focused my studies on academia, South American studies, media, art and the anthropology of art. I have an extensive background in Literature in Spanish, I have given Spanish and English classes to children and teenagers as well as volunteered as a personal tutor through distance for children who couldn't get an education during the pandemic.

In my classes:

I focus on two main objectives, practicality within the spoken part of the class and the written part beauty of expression. It would be great to have basic knowledge of Spanish for having classes. If you are interested in South America and the global Spanish-speaking world these are the classes for you. My approach for beginners/intermediates is to watch in your own time a specific media production (audiovisual) in your own time and discuss the relevant topics to practice vocabulary, gender, formality, fluidity and such. On top of that, we will do basic reading analysis of texts and review grammar through that medium.

For advanced levels, we will focus on one book for a couple of weeks where we will review the form and content of it. This will help with grasping more complex forms of expression. Also, we will produce literary products such as poems and short stories to practice the fluidity and versatility of your use of language. Finally, we will practice discussing social issues and academic themes to challenge your vocabulary producing and gaining new knowledge outside of linguistics and language.
