As a Stage 1 Forensic Psychology tutor of over 6 years of working in a University as an Associate Lecturer, Module creator and leader, I understand and appreciate the importance of differences in learning. My teaching reflects this, using a range of teaching materials to enable you to get the very best from our sessions.

As we transition through A Levels, maybe to your BSc and even possibly an MSc, we will look at all aspects of human behaviours; from the biology and functions of our brains, to how we learn through Cognitive development, and how other factors may have an effect on us as humans, or the behaviours of others. There is so much to this subject, and we will follow the curriculum of what your course entails, as well as using real examples to illustrate the theories.

We will also examine where Psychology and/or Criminology fits in the world; from future careers and pathways, to a legal standpoint. How do brain chemicals, hormones, genetics etc affect behaviours? Are they fully responsible, or could there be something else? We will examine how our influences from childhood help to shape our lives; our differences, similarities, and what makes us human from so may different theories and perspectives.

We will also work on the study skills needed to extend your academic work. From the differences in Research Methods, and which ones to use where and why, we will also learn how to construct and present academic writing in it's correct form, and learn when and how to cite and reference work within your own. Whatever you need for your Psychology/Criminology course, and beyond, I have you covered!
