I am a fully qualified teacher with over eight years of classroom experience, specialising in supporting Key Stage 2 children to develop both their academic skills and their confidence for learning. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of pupils, which has helped me understand that every child is unique. This is why I tailor each session carefully to meet individual needs, ensuring that every child feels supported and able to succeed.

My tutoring sessions are kind, patient, and friendly, creating a calm and welcoming environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks in their learning. I believe that children make the most progress when they feel safe, valued, and encouraged. There is no pressure in my sessions—just consistent support, reassurance, and a focus on building positive learning experiences.

A central focus of my tutoring is confidence. Academic skills are important, but confidence is often the key to unlocking a child’s full potential. Many children struggle not because they lack ability, but because they are unsure of themselves or afraid of making mistakes. I work closely with each child to build their self-belief, helping them develop a more positive attitude towards learning and encouraging them to approach challenges with greater resilience.

I offer tailored support for Key Stage 2 pupils, from Years 3 to 6, focusing on core areas such as reading, writing, and maths. These years are crucial for building strong foundations and preparing for the transition to secondary school. Whether a child needs help closing gaps in their understanding, boosting their confidence, or extending their learning further, I adapt my teaching to suit their goals and pace.

My approach is always encouraging and pressure-free. I break learning down into manageable steps, celebrate progress, and help children develop independence and problem-solving skills. I want every child to leave each session feeling proud, capable, and motivated to keep learning.

Ultimately, my goal is to help your child feel happy, confident, and ready for the next stage of their education.
