About me

I have been a teacher for 20 years, including being a specialist leader of education, lead practitioner and leader of a school centred initial teacher training programme. I also have exam board experience for GCSE French.
My approach is trauma- informed and I create a calm, predictable environment in order for learners to engage positively. I am trained in PACE and NVR.

I am available to tutor French, whether this be to support studies or for someone interested to learn the basics! I am available to support novice teachers in their understanding of pedagogy such as adaptive teaching. I am also available to offer coaching sessions to support parents experiencing challenging behaviours from their children. Here, I can offer techniques to support connection, consistency and regulation. I am reliable, organised and committed to helping learners and/or families thrive.
I will deliver sessions on Google Meet or can travel within South Staffordshire.

I worked with Emma for eight years training teachers together. She was exceptional in her one-to-one work with individuals, both online and face-to-face. She was very clinical in assessing the progress that someone needed to make next in their journey towards success, and very supportive in the way that she conveyed that understanding. I also knew her teaching of language, and she applied the same intelligence to support learning there. I thoroughly recommend her as an individual tutor.
