Emma Gardner

I am currently a secondary Spanish teacher in the UK (11-18 years old). I hold a BA in Spanish and French from the University of Birmingham. I pride myself on being friendly, understanding and encouraging. I was once in your shoes at the start of my language learning journey, so I know how hard it can be to learn a new language. I know that building confidence takes time. I pride myself on a strong subject knowledge which includes elements of culture like film, literature, politics and history. I have experience teaching English in Argentina, and spent a year studying abroad in France.

I tailor my lessons to a student's individual needs, interest and level. I can teach all ages and levels. I can also tailor to you if you have any additional learning needs, so please let me know if this is the case. Please also let me know if you are preparing for an exam and a specific specification (such as GCSE or A Level). We can discuss what you want to get out of Spanish classes, the best method for you to achieve this and the topics you would like to learn. I can use a wide range of resources from worksheets, grammar exercises to videos, games and quizzes. I can help with improving all four core skills of language learning (reading, writing, speaking and listening) along with exam preparation, grammar, or learning Spanish for you next holiday.
