I’m Emma Edwards, a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 20 years of experience working with children across Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. I’ve taught in a wide range of schools, from small village settings to larger independents, and I’m passionate about helping every child grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence.
I have experience at all levels of education, most recently as the Head of a growing private School. I am passionate about ensuring all students have the best opportunities to succeed, and that learning reflects the passions of the students I teach. My lessons are calm, engaging, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I specialise in English, Phonics, Maths, and Science, and I love finding creative ways to make learning come alive - whether that’s through storytelling, hands-on activities, or connecting lessons to the world around us. I’m also experienced in supporting children who need an extra boost or those who are ready to be stretched further.
Who My Lessons Are For:
My tutoring is aimed at primary-aged children (ages 5–14) who would benefit from:
Building confidence and fluency in English; writing, reading, speaking and listening and phonics
Strengthening understanding in Maths or Science
Preparing for their 11+ or 13+ including Common Entrance, SATs and school transitions
Catching up after missed learning or developing study skills
Enrichment for children who are ready for more challenge
Above all, I want every child I teach to feel happy, capable, and proud of their progress. Learning should be exciting - and my goal is to make every lesson something your child looks forward to.
