When I was a child I wanted to be a teacher but as a teenager I thought I didn't have the patience to do it.

Twenty years later, I took a TEFL International course in India where I taught as a volunteer. I worked with street children and kids at a charity run school. I then headed off to Indonesia where I taught children and adults in two schools.

After two years I came back to the UK and my hometown, Oxford were I successfully gained a Trinity College London TESOL certificate. In Oxford I taught in two schools. I specialised in general and business English, IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation, and International Baccalaureate English, teaching adults and sixth form age students. I have done private tutoring ever since.

I very much enjoy teaching and find it very rewarding. To see confidence and ability grow in my students gives me real joy.

I like to make my lessons fun, engaging and based around the needs of my students. I offer the first lesson for free so you can get a better idea of how I teach and what I can do for you.
