Hello, my name is Emma and I am a qualified primary school teacher. I offer tutoring in all primary subjects, including English, maths, science and topic work, from Reception through to Year 6.

My lessons are tailored to each child, making sure they feel supported and confident while also being challenged to make progress. I like to keep sessions engaging and interactive, using a mix of practical activities, games and clear explanations to make learning enjoyable as well as effective.

I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit their needs and preferred learning style. For example, some children respond really well to visual aids and practical tasks, while others benefit from structured step-by-step teaching and lots of opportunities to practise.

I always try to create a calm, positive environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I find this helps to build their confidence and independence over time. I can support with general learning, test preparation, or extending skills for children who are ready for extra challenge.

Above all, I want my lessons to be encouraging, enjoyable and focused on helping each child achieve their very best.
