As an Emotion Coach, I have three years’ experience supporting young people to develop emotional awareness and regulation, build confidence and resilience, and overcome personal and academic challenges. I take an empathetic, person-centred approach, recognising that every student has different strengths, needs and ways of learning.
What you can expect is for us to start by getting to know each other as building trust is the foundation for success. I will then invite you to share what it is you would like to work through or improve. If you'd like to focus on a personal challenge, we would explore your emotions, identify what may be holding you back and develop practical strategies to build confidence, resilience and emotional regulation. This often bleeds into addressing academic challenges, where we would also identify barriers to learning and developing realistic strategies to improve motivation, organisation, focus and performance. Together, we would break goals into manageable steps, celebrate progress and build a growth mindset, helping you recognise that personal wellbeing and academic success are closely connected. Throughout the process, I would encourage you to take ownership of your development, ensuring you feel heard, supported and empowered to make meaningful progress at your own pace.
Alongside my coaching experience, I am studying a Master’s in the Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. This has strengthened my understanding of psychological theories, mental health and human behaviour, providing a strong academic foundation to support students studying Psychology at GCSE, A Level and degree level.
I can support students to understand psychological concepts, consolidate their knowledge, develop critical thinking and apply theories to real-world examples. I also recognise that academic success involves more than understanding the subject; confidence, motivation, organisation and effective study strategies all play an important role.
Whether you need help navigating challenging emotions, improving your approach to learning or strengthening your understanding of Psychology, I will work alongside you to identify your goals and develop strategies tailored to your needs. My aim is to help you feel more confident in yourself, your learning and your ability to achieve your potential.
