I achieved A*AA at Alevel studying English language, English literature and Media Studies and am currently studying English Language and Linguistics at a top UK university. I have a deep rooted love for the English Language and believe it can be one of the most fascinating subjects.

My lessons centre around revision techniques and methods of learning that support the style of each student. I provide support for students constructing essays and developing a writing style suited to exam answers. I am keen to allow students to highlight areas they struggle with and place specific focus on elements of the Alevel that may limit their marks. For example, a students struggling with analysis will be provided with a myriad of practice extracts to analyse and specific assistance in literary techniques of value for analysis, such as cataphoric vs anaphoric reference.

I tend to begin with a development of fundamental concepts and skills to build a foundation for higher level work however I am happy to personalise the content to the individual. I aim to understand the way in which each student's mind works and create an environment that balances learning and support to minimise the anxiety and stress exam preparation can cause. I have recent personal experience with Alevel, having taken them in 2025, and value mental health alongside academic success.

I have helped during KS3 English lessons throughout my Alevel experience allowing me to develop a friendly, supportive teaching style that facilitates a positive learning environment and allows students to thrive.
