I like to focus on the visual aspect of learning. I know that following long texts can bore everybody, me included. That is why I love to explain my content through many photos, graphs, and videos so I can make the connection of the topic, which we we are studying, and something that is interactive and entertaining. This would allow a more personal connection to the lesson, which will increase the interest in them. This mindset of mine stems from my dissertation work in my final year at university, which gave me the opportunity to perform a lecture in front of Oxbridge candidates at a private English school. During that lecture I was supposed to present a very tiresome for most topic centered around the developmental genes in evolution. I tried to incorporate as many visuals, games, and questions through, which I was able to catch the interest of the students. This proved to be a very good tactic as the students came to me after the session and continued to ask interesting and insightful questions about the lesson. Since then I have tried to intrigue more people by touching on their interests during a lecture and going away from the stigma of only reading out of presentations but rather truly engaging the people I am teaching.
