I have worked with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children over the years both in the classroom and with 1:1 tutoring including some with complex needs.

I spend time discussing your child’s needs with you including looking at examples of their work and phonics/writing and maths schemes used at the school to ensure I can plan and deliver well rounded focused lessons in an approach with best suits you child.

I am able to be flexible with how I deliver sessions using whiteboards, LCD tablets and a range of practical resources to enhance learning and to make it fun. For example when teaching phonics we will use flash cards, play bingo, create sentences together and developing reading comprehension. I am also able to use the child’s interest to completely tailor the teaching to the individual allowing children to be fully engaged and also enjoy tutoring rather than seeing it as work.
