Emily Pacey

Following my degree in English Language and Literature, I became a professional journalist and later a copywriter, producing words for organisations to help sell their brands. I am also a teaching assistant in nursery and primary schools.

With experience as private English tutor, I can promise that I am patient, kind, friendly, fun and empathetic, with an ability to explain concepts in ways that my students understand. I am a highly supportive tutor, taking my students step by step through their school assignments, and improving children's scores and grades in reading, writing and comprehension.

For any new student, we will start by talking about your current abilities, your goals, and making a plan to reach them. If you are at school, we will look at the assignments and homework you have been set, and work through those materials to ensure you get the answers right, and most importantly, understand why those answers are correct, so you can then apply your knowledge independently.
