For my lessons, I always start with a vocal warm up, which teaches the foundations of vocal health, and gives you tips and techniques to open up more avenues for you on your vocal journey.
After this, then we will work on material. If you are a beginner, I would encourage you to choose a song that you enjoy singing and you know the words to for the first couple of lessons. This would help me get an idea of your ability, and how best to aid you in our lessons. Alternatively, I can come prepared with a few options for you to choose from.
We will start with working on technique and the idea of ‘safe singing’ to ensure that your voice remains healthy. After this is learned, we can then move onto ‘detail’. This is adding the professional flair into the song.
If you are a professional and you are wanting a top up lesson, or are preparing for an audition, I would ask that you let me know beforehand! Let me know what you are wanting to work on and I will build a lesson plan accordingly.
