I offer friendly, patient maths lessons for students of all ages, from basic skills through to GCSE level. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have worked with a wide range of learners and enjoy helping students discover that maths can make sense when it is explained clearly and at the right pace.

My approach focuses on breaking concepts down into simple, manageable steps so students understand the “why” behind the maths, not just memorise methods. Lessons include clear explanation, guided practice and opportunities for students to apply what they have learned, helping knowledge become secure and lasting. Students leave lessons clearer, calmer and more confident.

Alongside my teaching experience, I also work as a mindset coach. Many students struggle with maths anxiety or lack confidence in their ability. I use simple, practical mindset strategies to help students feel more relaxed, focused and willing to try. When confidence improves, progress often follows naturally.

I also have many years of experience supporting students with additional learning needs and behavioural challenges. I understand that every learner is different and adapt my teaching style to suit the individual. I also support students preparing for Entry Level and GCSE maths assessments.

My lessons are calm, supportive and judgement-free, where no question is too small and we work at the student’s pace until the maths makes sense.
