Due to my dual education in highschool (French and German) with a focus on European literature and university (English and French Law Degree), I have an extensive knowledge on literature and literary analysis, not only in English, but also in French and German.

During my high school years, I volunteered as a teaching assistant in English for a class of 15 students. This teaching was mostly done through practicing speaking and listening exercices, as well as explaining grammar through games and illustrations. From 2024 to 2025, I was a private tutor for a student who was studying French at University-level (C1). For this tutorial, we went through her lessons, to ensure that everything was understtod. I used podcasts or radio episodes (Free on Radio France) to prepare conversations and Q&As. We would also do literary analysis, and I found different texts (prose and poetry) which were at her reading level.

Due to my experience, I think an early conversation with the student is necessary for us to clearly visualise the difficulties with the languages and the goals of the tutorial sessions. From there on, the sessions can be class-based, and used to review the material learnt in class, whilst also complementing this with my knowledge. (As a French-German native, I have an extended knowledge of both cultures. Furthermore, I am very interested in politics, films and music, which can always be useful for learning a language.)
