My lessons are structured around each student's individual needs, current understanding and academic goals. I typically begin by identifying areas of strength and topics that need more attention, before building a tailored plan. Sessions combine clear explanations of key concepts, relevant real-world business and economic examples, and practical exam question exercises.

I place particular emphasis on developing strong essay structures, application, analysis and evaluation skills, helping students understand not just what to write but how to achieve higher marks. I also encourage students to engage with current economic and business affairs, making connections between classroom theory and the world around them.

Having progressed from A-Level Business and Economics to an Economics degree at Lancaster University, I can bring both a student's perspective and a broader academic understanding to our sessions. I understand that students learn differently, so I adapt my teaching style and pace to suit each individual.

I also believe that confidence is just as important as subject knowledge. I encourage students to ask questions, challenge ideas and learn from mistakes without feeling overwhelmed. We will regularly review progress, revisit difficult topics and build towards exam readiness through consistent practice. My aim is to make every lesson productive, engaging and worthwhile, while helping students become more independent and confident in their abilities.

I also aim to share practical revision strategies, techniques for managing exam time and approaches to tackling unfamiliar questions. Ultimately, I want students to leave each session with a clearer understanding, something tangible to practise and greater confidence in their ability to succeed.
