I've been a professional Freelance Comic Artist for just about a decade, with a Distinction Masters in Literature in Comic Studies from the University of Dundee (and an Undergrad in Animation from DJCAD).
After graduating, I spent a year helping run comic workshops at Dundee Comics Creative Space with children between the ages of 10-17. Beyond that, most of my professional output has been Educational material for the University of Dundee through their UniVerse imprint.
As such, I have a strong knowledge of art, drawing, art history, and comics, and both traditional and digital approaches to the process and how to convery a narrative with your artwork.
I would work with you see what level you're at or experience and knowledge you have, and look to broaden that base - or focus it, if you have a specific interest. We would look at excercises you could do, principles and literature to read, and work we can analyse that may inspire you and your journey as an artist from a wide range of creators and creatives.
These lessons would be online, either through online discussions (video/audio, or simply typed) or hand-outs I could send you to complete and discuss on completion.
While my focus is generally on comics and narrative artwork, I also have a general understanding of artistic practices and history, and would be happy to guide you on your creative journey - whatever direction that may take!
I hope to hear from you soon, and wish you all the best, regardless.
