I really enjoy teaching in a relaxed way, history can be a really fun subject and it should be treated like it! Usually with my students we discover what excited you and build lesson plans around that. This can really vary depending on what you like and how you like to spend your time learning. For some students this might be taking the content and having fun with it whereas for others a more serious approach is preferred. Whatever woks for you to get the grades you want/need will be definitely be possible.
Of course, there will be a good chance you're studying for a specific exam. Having fun doesn't mean the exam prep ends. GCSE and A Level history is a delicate balance between knowing your content, understanding it and then being able to answer questions based on it. We can break down what this really means and how get those top scoring answers without spending hours and hours on past papers. Work smarter not harder.
If you're studying at a degree level then the way we study is completely different, there is a lot more independence and basically anything goes as long as you can explain why.
In terms of my content specialisms, I have completed extended projects on the Cold War in Europe and Asia including a 10,000 word dissertation. Further specialisms include Tudor Britain and American social history from However, if you're looking for help outside of these study areas thats no problem! Let me know your exam board/ topic list and I'll let you know if I still think I'm educated enough on the subject to help.
