I’m a Graduate Entry Medical Student at Warwick Medical School, with a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham so it’s safe to say I’ve spent a LOT of time studying Biology and Chemistry!

Although I’m new to formal tutoring, I have a strong academic background and a genuine understanding of the challenges students face when learning science. I know first-hand that science can go from “yeah, that makes sense” to “what on earth is happening?” very quickly.

My lessons are relaxed, interactive and tailored to each student. We’ll start by identifying the topics or questions you’re finding difficult, then work through them together in a clear and manageable way. I’ll explain concepts using simple examples, ask questions to check your understanding and encourage you to talk through your thinking, rather than just listening passively.

Depending on your goals, a session might include reviewing a tricky topic, working through exam questions, practising how to structure answers, creating useful revision strategies or preparing for an upcoming test. I’ll adapt the pace and style of each lesson to suit you, whether you need to build confidence with the basics or challenge yourself towards a higher grade.

My approach is all about helping you understand why something makes sense and reach the point where you can explain it yourself, rather than simply memorising a textbook and hoping for the best.

I’m friendly, relaxed and definitely not here to make tutoring feel like another hour of school. Questions are always welcome (including the ones you think are “stupid”). Chances are, I’ve asked the exact same thing at some point.
