Ella Barker

My lessons are collaborative and light-hearted. I am a flexible teacher, I know how to teach a student to over come anxieties with a subject and equally know how to work in exam conditions. I also enjoy teaching students to find ways enjoy a subject and to work creatively.

I have 6+ years experience in tutoring.

I have worked with Education Choices Magazine for 4+ years, raising awareness of opportunities in education (Nursery - University and beyond) to children and young adults globally.

I regularly am invited to attend talks by schools and organisations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company to explore the latest developments in education.

I am a UCL graduate with an Upper Division Undergraduate degree in English Literature and a Distinction in my MSc in Anthropology. These subjects give me a breadth of knowledge in different essay writing and research forms and styles.

I am also a freelance filmmaker and photographer with A* in my GCSE and A-Level Art. I was the Art Scholar at Putney High and have continued with my creative explorations through film, animation and different forms of the moving image. I have worked with UAL and a variety of different companies over the past 2 years on a variety of film-making projects. In my spare time I continue to paint and draw.
