With over 13 years of experience in primary education, I have a proven track record of success in preparing children for the 11 Plus, SATs, and banding tests. My pupils consistently achieve excellent results, with a high pass rate in the 11 Plus exams, enabling them to access selective secondary schools and grammar schools. I take pride in equipping children with the academic confidence and exam strategies they need to succeed.
I teach English, mathematics, and the full 11 Plus curriculum, using a wide range of teaching strategies to support children’s understanding. My lessons are engaging, structured, and tailored to each learner’s needs, ensuring they grasp key concepts and develop strong exam techniques that can be transferred into future exams.
I also specialise in working with neurodiverse students and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Every child receives a bespoke approach, and I work collaboratively with families to support them and to identify what works best for them.
My goal is to create an inclusive learning environment where all children feel valued and capable to achieve.
To enhance learning, I incorporate visual resources, technology, and real-life contexts—whether it’s using interactive tools to explore grammar techniques or applying mathematical problems to everyday situations. I believe that a solid foundation in English and maths opens doors of opportunity and sets children up for a successful transition to secondary school.
Above all, I am passionate about helping every child reach their full potential and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally as well rounded individuals.
