Elizabeth Boomker

My name is Lisa and I have over 20 years of teaching experience at an academic University. I also have a Doctorate in Natural Sciences. I enjoy tutoring Biology and English. My lessons are based on highlighting basic principles and then proceeding to more advanced concepts. These are explained using diagrams, pictures and interactive worksheets. All the work we do is available to be downloaded, as are all the assignments and homework tasks. If there are areas that are more challenging, I spend more time to make sure that you have the correct understanding of the concept. The aim to to reach your goals and so all my lessons are made to assist you in your progress with Biology, or English.
All lessons start with an introduction and the approach to a specific topic. We decide together what topics you need to concentrate on. The lesson then moves from basic to complex ideas with verbal exercises to reinforce the concept. We will look at worksheets and progress to homework done and assignments for the next class. The last section of the lesson recaps what we have done and looks at any questions that may have arisen during class. Any fun ideas coming from the lesson are noted.
