I feel the best way to start singing is by having a comfortable and happy relationship with your tutor. The first lesson would be us having a chat about who you are and seeing if we connect as people and you feel comfortable and feel like you could progress with me. If not then that’s fine and I am not the tutor for you! I feel having someone like that to encourage you is really important no matter what stage you’re at with singing. Together we would work through the technical side of the voice and understanding the science behind singing and how to use your voice in a healthy and non-damaging way. Then we would have a chat about music and what styles you wanted to work on and start working on songs bit by bit. There of course would be homework for you to practise but each lesson I would want you to feel like you could experiment with your voice and feel able to try different ways and strategies to improve with me by your side. I can work from any stage as I have trained in singing myself and have grades in Distinction up to Grade 8 and I also have trained in teaching and coaching of the voice aswell.
