My lessons are structured, engaging, and carefully tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are beginners, preparing for exams, or applying to competitive universities. Drawing on my training at the University of Oxford, I combine academic rigour with a supportive and encouraging teaching style.
A typical lesson is divided into focused sections: we begin with a review of previous material, followed by targeted grammar and vocabulary work, and then move into applied practice. This might include translation exercises, essay-writing techniques, or guided conversation, depending on the student’s needs. For exam-level students, I place particular emphasis on developing clear structure, analytical writing skills, and confidence in speaking assessments.
I incorporate a range of resources, including past papers, literary and cultural materials, and interactive exercises to keep lessons dynamic and intellectually stimulating. Having grown up bilingual and now studying multiple languages, I understand the challenges students face and aim to build both accuracy and fluency through consistent, manageable progress.
Above all, I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment in which students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, as this is essential for genuine progress in language learning. I encourage active participation and build confidence through consistent practice, while adapting my teaching style to suit each individual. At the same time, I maintain a clear structure in every lesson, setting achievable goals and tracking improvement over time. This balance ensures that students not only enjoy the learning process but also make steady, measurable progress towards their academic and personal language goals.
