Eleni Papaioannou

I am a graduate from Mountview Academy of Arts where I achieved a First Class Masters Degree in Acting. Before that, I studied Drama and Theatre Arts at the University of Birmingham where I achieved a First Class Bachelors Degree. I love English and Drama and pride myself on my dedication to studying within said fields. Throughout my time in academia and presently, I have been involved in numerous plays and performances giving me good knowledge of Drama and English from both a practical side and an academic side.

My ultimate aim to ensure myself students feel as prepared as they can for their upcoming exams but most importantly, they should feel confident in their abilities. I do this by setting goals with my students - not just graded goals but academic skills based goals I.e reading, analysing, essay structure etc. I tailor my lessons to the student’s specific needs and together we find ways they can improve. English and Drama have some really useful transferable skills that are built from an early age and I would love to help you on your journey to building them!

I assess the level my students start at by analysing previous essays they have done and working together to find improvements. Lesson by lesson we will discuss and practice the following; analysing language, analysing themes, essay writing, essay structuring, reading and comprehension and quote finding. With each lesson, my students will grow in confidence and in their ability to write to a high standard.
