Elena Ruggerone

Ciao! I’m Elena, an Italian native speaker based in London. I teach Italian to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners who want to polish their fluency. I grew up speaking both Italian and German at home, and I now live and study in English every day, so I know first-hand what it’s like to learn a language, get stuck, and push through to the point where you actually start thinking in it.
My lessons are built around you: whether you’re preparing for a trip, moving to Italy, studying for an exam or simply curious about the language, we’ll set clear goals together and work towards them at your pace. I focus on real, everyday Italian, so you’ll start speaking from the very first lesson, with grammar and vocabulary introduced naturally along the way.
With a background in sociology and international relations, I also love bringing Italian culture, history and current affairs into our conversations, so you learn not just the language but how Italians actually live and think.
Lessons are friendly, interactive and stress-free. Mistakes are welcome! Get in touch and let’s start your Italian journey together.
