Elena Chaus Olivas

Hello! I’m Elena, a native Spanish speaker from Spain, currently based in the UK. I’m passionate about languages and I really enjoy helping people feel confident when communicating in Spanish.

I have several years of experience teaching Spanish through my own Spanish clubs and creative workshops for children, as well as working with adult learners. This experience has taught me how important it is to adapt lessons to each student’s personality, level, interests and goals.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly and practical. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to use it, so we will spend plenty of time speaking and practising Spanish in real-life situations. I can help you with conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, while making sure that you understand not only how Spanish works, but also how people actually speak it in Spain.

Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve your conversational skills, are preparing for a trip to Spain, or simply want to feel more confident speaking Spanish, we can tailor the lessons to what you need. We can also work on Spanish for everyday life, work or travel.

As well as Spanish, I speak fluent English and advanced Italian, so I understand from personal experience what it feels like to learn and communicate in another language. I know that making mistakes is a natural and important part of the process, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things.

I also love sharing Spanish culture, everyday expressions and the natural way people speak in Spain. Outside teaching, I enjoy travelling, photography and creative projects.
