I prefer to be very friendly with my students, in order for them to feel safe and comfortable. I have witnessed so many adults be afraid of making a mistake, and I don't want that for anybody - making mistakes is a part of your learning process, and you shouldn't be ashamed or afraid of it.
During my lessons, I prefer to give my students the freedom to speak as much as possible an get the practice of spoken English that they need, while correcting them from time to time if needed.
I have dealt with people of different ages and nationalities, which makes me believe I can find common grounds with pretty much anyone.
