Eleanor Rose

I hold a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Medical Research (Immunology), with research experience at internationally recognised institutions including Imperial College London, the National University of Singapore, and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of biology and chemistry, from fundamental concepts through to cutting-edge biomedical research.

Alongside my scientific training, I completed a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the University of Warwick, where I taught GCSE and A-Level science in UK secondary schools. This combination of research expertise and classroom experience enables me to explain complex scientific ideas clearly, accurately, and in a way that students genuinely understand.

Over the past five years, I have helped students improve both their confidence and academic performance through personalised one-to-one tuition. Every lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student's strengths, areas for development, and learning style. I place a strong emphasis on building a secure understanding of key concepts before developing exam technique using official mark schemes, examiner reports, and targeted practice questions.

My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and highly structured. I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems independently. Detailed lesson notes, personalised homework, and regular feedback ensure that progress continues between sessions.
