Previous A level student in Biology(A), Chemistry(B) and psychology(A). Gained a handful of experience during my A levels, such as scheduling and organizing my time on effective studies. Learning a handful of study techniques, and learning what works best for me and what does not. Learnt valuable lessons from my exam period on what helped me de-stress but also what factors caused me to be overstressed (unrealistic goals, perfectionism, etc...).
Volunteered for 2 years of my life in Australia, i was given many roles during this time that helped me develop deeper goal setting and planning techniques and stronger time management skills. Trainer, worked 1-1 with another volunteer, helping them adjust, manage stress and learn to set goals and make plans and accomplish them through the day, this took place over 6 week to 3 month time periods. District leader, managed a group of 8-9 volunteers, lead them in goal setting and planning and staying accountable to these goals and following up on a weekly basis. Zone leader, managed and led a group of 15-17 other volunteers, focusing on accountability and progress, through setting goals and making plans, via weekly check ups and 1-1s. Learning as i go.
Currently work in education as an MTC teacher. Involves teaching and coaching young volunteers/students to improve on personal studies, set their own goals and plans and manage time effectively. Have regular consistent check ins to discuss current progress, talking about potential changes to goals and plans they have currently set, and future direction with these goals and plans.
