I namely focus on essay writing skills but am more than happy to cover content as well. I find that the often the most overlooked aspect of writing a great essay is the technical aspect of the writing, having been a recent graduate studying English literature, enjoying personal essay coaching, I am excited to be able to offer this as the forefront of my lessons. This will mainly take the form of sitting with an example of your writing and picking apart positives and negatives in order to develop for the next time. I will also be happy to do some practical writing skills within the lesson itself. Aside from working on technical skills my experience of mentoring for 5 years has taught me that communication and feedback is the best way to move forward and develop your academic skills. My lessons will therefore feature a distinct feedback aspect, where I will want to receive feedback from my students as to what they themselves feel is going well and how best I can improve my lessons to best fit their needs. Considering literature is such an exciting and compelling field of study, when covering content within the lessons I will want to hear from my student what it is that they want to cover, attempting to make the novels and poems they are covering into more manageable pieces to digest. This may take the form of interactive learning, but my main focus is on catering my lessons to best fit my student so I am very flexible to best cater for my students.
