I am a first year medical student at Kent and Medway Medical School. I am interested in teaching biology because I enjoyed it massively at school.
I did a lot of tutoring at my sixth form in biology and found it fun to help others learn. With this tutoring, I had a lot of success stories come out from my tutoring (which was in all 3 sciences and history).
I find the best learning methods for student can be explaining concepts with a teacher and practising applying the knowledge together to questions to help get exam ready.
My experience with biology is that I got a 9 at GCSE for biology and A for biology at A level. I am currently learning more biology by being at medical school.
My hope for tutoring students is to help them achieve grades they didn’t think were possible for them and help them get exactly where they aim to get to.
If you choose me to teach biology, I will be happy to make note of particular subjects in biology you find a bit hard and help you make those your biggest strengths. I will do this by drawing up a lesson plan that includes a thorough explanation of the subject allowing all questions, no question is every silly to me, and then practising the content by doing summary questions and working on writing exactly what an examiner wants to read in an exam. I understand how stressful it can be to be exam ready so I hope to make all my students almost EXCITED to sit their exams.
